Thomas P. Crotty

staff-3Attorney Crotty is a 1972 graduate of Bridgewater State College, and a 1977 graduate of Boston College Law School. He has been in private practice since 1977, starting as an associate with Desmaris & Carey. In 1988 he joined the firm of Perry & Hicks as a partner.

Attorney Crotty is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association.  He is a past president of the New Bedford Bar Association, and is a long time member of the Board of Directors of the YMCA SouthCoast. Attorney Crotty is also a member of NAELA —- the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.

He is a resident of Fairhaven, where he has been the Town Counsel since 1981.  He is a former member of the Fairhaven High School Advisory Council, and a member of the High School Building Committee, which oversaw the renovation of the historic Fairhaven High School.

In July 2010 Attorney Crotty formed Thomas P. Crotty & Associates, PLLC. The practice is concentrated in civil and probate litigation; elder law, including estate and Medicaid planning and probate; and municipal law.

Russell G. Whynacht

rwhynachtAttorney Whynacht is a lifelong resident of Southeastern Massachusetts. He is a graduate of Eastern Nazarene College, in Quincy Massachusetts, and the University of Massachusetts School Of Law, in Dartmouth. Attorney Whynacht served on the editorial staff of the law school’s Law Review, and clerked at the Superior Court of Massachusetts for one year.

Prior to earning his law degree, Attorney Whynacht worked in the banking and financial services fields in New Bedford and Boston.

Attorney Whynacht is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Bristol County Bar Association, and is admitted to practice in the state, federal and bankruptcy courts in Massachusetts. Attorney Whynacht is the President of the Rotary Club of New Bedford, for the 2016-2017 term.
